What this site collects
Last updated September 26, 2026
Oklahoma Hail does not sell data, does not run advertising, and does not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. The short version: the site counts page views without identifying you, and it stores your email address only if you deliberately hand it over.
Analytics
Pages on this site are measured with Vercel Web Analytics. It records aggregate page views, referrers, and coarse location and device data. It does not set advertising cookies and does not build a cross-site profile of you. Individual visitors are not identified.
The Stories email list
If you submit your address to the Stories email list, it is stored as a contact with Resend, the service that delivers the emails, and you receive one welcome message. Your address is used to send you Stories updates and nothing else. It is not shared with or sold to anyone.
Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time by replying to any message or emailing dave@oklahomahail.com. Unsubscribing removes your address from the list.
The project poll
The poll on the Stories page stores only a running count per option. No name, address, account, or identifier is attached to a vote, so individual responses cannot be traced back to anyone — including by us.
Sermon Archive and Google sign-in
Sermon Archive is a small personal tool. It copies public sermon transcripts from YouTube into Google Docs. It runs on one computer and signs in to one Google account, its owner's.
It asks Google for one permission: access to the Drive files the tool itself creates. It cannot see, read, or change any other file in that Drive. It uses the permission to create one folder, create one Google Doc per sermon, and write the transcript text into those Docs.
The sign-in token stays on the computer that runs the tool. No Google data is sent to this website, stored here, shared, or sold. Its use of Google data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy. Access can be revoked at any time from the third-party connections page of the Google Account.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard operational request logs (including IP addresses) for a limited period in order to serve the site, defend against abuse, and diagnose faults. These logs are not used to build marketing profiles.
Email you send directly
If you email Oklahoma Hail, that message and your address sit in an ordinary email inbox for as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of the conversation. They are not added to any mailing list unless you ask.
Your choices
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing dave@oklahomahail.com. Deletion requests for the email list are honoured in full.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date above is updated.
